If you were a child, would you go wild, if you could see God?
Or would you be told, by people that are old, to forget that silly thought
 
What would you do, if you knew, that there must be another way of living?
For we are never taught, that we should have sought, that life is all about giving
 
Must we always take, and be on the make, and be looking out for bargains?
For the deal you have got, is worth quite a lot, and it’s not all about margins
 
There is a part in you, that is so true, that desires self-expressions
But what we were told, and what we have been sold, we were given the wrong impressions
 
So if you have been hurt, and you seek self-worth, there is no need for all your scheming
If you want a new start, just look in your heart , and your life will soon be beaming
 
Stop all the clutter, and the resentment you utter, and let your mind begin to clear
Nurture your affections, and thoughts and reflections, and the people you hold so dear
 
So if your life is in a hurry, and you’re troubled with worry, and you want to calm things down
To stop that pace, and get out of that race, and you will never need to frown
 
It’s up to you, what you now do, to change all your future
Just take your book, and begin to look, at the things you want to nurture
 
It will clear your mind, and you can unwind, and move into a new understanding
For at last, you can forget the past, for your true destiny you are commanding
 
To enrich your life, and forget all the strife, take guidance from your heart
For you can enjoy, you feel on a high, for you have made a new start
